Puppies are developing and growing great. They are unbelievably agile and responsive. It started to be evident which pup is going to be a malinois and which one a terv. It seems Quincy distributed fairly not only the gender but the varieties as well. It looks like one girl and two boys are tervuerens (Kaylan - pink girl, Kaeden Knox – green boy and Knock Out – black boy) and two girsl and one boy are malinoises (Kaela – purple girl, Konichiwa – red girl and K´Naan – light blue boy).

Update July 2011
We´ve got puppies!!! Starý Machnáč „K“ litter was born on 13th July and Quincy did a wonderful job. The first girl was born at around 6 P.M. and the last boy four hours later. Altogether there are three girls and three boys, all of them are healty, vital and beautiful. First pictures here.
Unfortunately, we also have bad news – about the other expected litter. Fiona Starý Machnáč gave birth to one still born puppy in the 64th night of her pregnancy. She was rushed to the vet clinic but the ultrasound examination showed only dead puppies =((( There were three quite big puppies L We hope Fi will soon recover physically and mentally...
We are so brokenhearted... not only because of the puppies, but because of Fi´s fabulous co-owners (Cigáň family) who are grieving over the situation so much and because of the nice and kind owner of Barry – Zsuzsanna.
Elyos has had his first date last week! A beautiful lady - JCh. ClubCh. FUTURE FAME Z Kovárny (Lubanja´s VISION X INNAH ADINA Z Kovárny) HD A, ED 0/0, PRA/Cat. – negat. , Character test 100 pts., ZPS1, FPr2, ZPU1, ZZO, BH came to visit on July 14th and 17th . Ejmi is a litter-sister of B.I.S. FMBB Mondiale 2009 Fatal Love Z Kovárny.
GIANNA Starý Machnáč and her owner Zuzka passed their first exam – SOP (96 pts, „Excellent“) on July 16th . They both made us very proud and happy!
A young lady from Equinox´s previous litter – Jasmine Starý Machnáč (Kalli) took part at her first shows – June 30th – July 2nd in Wrentham, Massachusetts USA, Wampanoag Kennel Club with Best of Opposite Sex on the first day, reserve on the second and without placing on the third day. Congratulations to Megan, Kalli and best regards to Token!

Breeding
The most important – we have got two mated and pregnant girls!!! If everything goes well, we can expect two sets of puppies in a middle of July!
On 12th May we mated your ClubCh EQUINOX z Kovárny (a terv girl out of two groenendaels). After a tough consideration and especially when her progesterone rocketed high in just few days, we decided for an intervariety breeding – with malinois! The sire of Equinox´s future puppies is s.r. s InterCh. DARING DEVIL du Crépuscule des Loups. Puppies from this litter will have an extraordinarily interesting blood both for tervuerens and malinoises.
On 13th May we mated our other bitch also abroad – FIONA Starý Machnáč, a girl that herself comes from the intervariery litter (groenendael x tervueren). The sire of her first and only puppies is a Hungarian young stud and champion Újtelepi Favorit BARRY. Barry is a dog of wonderful outline and body frame, beautiful head and expression, dark almond eye, perfectly set and carried ears and wonderful character. His father is a terv male out of two groenendaels YRAX Comme un Réve Noir and his mother is Waterloo Star OHLALA. If Barry carries a gene for black colour, it is possible that in the middle of July we will welcome a second double-variety litter ;-)
Every breeder must be aware that eternal circle of life means that not only puppies, joy and success are parts of breeding. There is also a dark and sad side – the death and inevitable end. Sadly, on 4th June we were abandoned by our beloved boy, my love, a dog who pleased everybody with his devotion, grace and nobleness – MultiChampion s. BENITO Barnacký prameň. He was 15 years and 9 months old. His life has closed up, but I can only close up his life story on his site a bit later. Now it hurts too much…
ELYOS du Moulin du Verger became a stud on 29th May 2011. He is free of hip and elbow dysplasia and free of epilepsy. We are planning eyes tests and DNA profile later this year.
Health
In April I took Elyos and Gayka to a dysplasy exam. Both came out negative both for elbows and hips.

Work
At the beginning of April we (Elyos and Gaya) took part at the great club event – the first weekend with Belgians. This weekend was opened for everybody willing to work with their Belgians. Consultants were Ms. Marie Vágenknechtová for Obedience and Mr. Manhart for IPO. There was a great atmosphere and it seems that everybody enjoyed it. I am personally very glad that longhaireds were also present. Click here for pictures.

Devil is an extraordinary being in our geographical area as he is a stud from bloodlines that are not present here in Slovakia and is imported from France. He is an elegant and strong dog of excellent bones and bodyframe, beautiful head, expression and mask, black eyes and wonderful deep red colour. He´s got a perfect character with no reactions, passed several exams and character tests in different countries.
In this litter we expect excellent type, beautiful bones and frame, elegant heads, black eyes and great character fro any kind of utilization. Both malinois and tervueren born from this combination may be very interesting in future breeding from any point of view.

I first “met” Barry on Facebook =) around 9 months ago and ever since I have been thinking and considering him as a stud for my breeding. And he looked even better when I met him in person. His blood lines combination is very interesting for my girls. He is a sturdy and strong dog with great bodyframe, excellently modeled head, elegant ears and black eyes. He´s got a perfectly expressed high black mask. Wonderful quality, texture and colour of coat. Barry´s character is calm, he loves retrieving and general training. He is a gorgeous family dog.
If Barry carries a gene for black colour, we can expect another double-variety litter. We expect puppies great characters, excellent colour and charbonage, of beautiful type and expression.

At the last moment we received a wonderful e-mail from Ivana, Mája´s owner (Jolie Jersey) with two pics attached. Mája would never become a show ring star (though she definitely has all assumptions), on the other hand Iva is working with her and they seem to make a great tandem. Mája is still crazy temperamental teenager, agility is not the main focus, so Iva and Mája concentrate on the sports training. New, action pictures here.
Kids + work + puppies = lack of time and neglecting web site updates. Please, take these words as my apology. Oh, well, also the existence of Facebook is to blame because one can easily forget about updates when everything can be announced so easily via FB 
So, here is the news about our pupps:
Jolie Jersey (Maja) has undergone some surgeries after a terrible accident Good news is that even such trauma did not leave any trace on her superb character and so Maja has started to tug on soft toys and is taking part at trainings, competitions and shows - as a visitor, of course. By word of her owner Ivana - in character she is the right "old fashioned" type of a terv

J´Indra has moved to Poland a day after our Club show. She will be raised in a companion of two older terv males. Her owners Magda and Krzystof belaud her to the skies. Exactly today she took part at her very first exhibition in Wroclav in a Puppy class with a result Very promising!
The last of our "J" litter girls - Jasmine took her time with departure to her new home. Not to mention the distance. Together with her brother Jethro Jinx they flew to American Connecticut on June, 25th. Me and Megan believe they will nicely represent our breeding at shows, as well as Obedience and Agility competitions.
A new life is also fully enjoyed by a beautiful girl from our older litter - I am Gaya (out of Phar Lap and Fay Rose). She lives not far from us in a family with three children and according to the latest news, she is the utmost point of interest not only for them

Two beautiful and healthy 5 months old boys from the litter after Phar Lap Juvell and Fay Rose, both of them have already complete denture with scissor bite, as well as both testicles (from 7 weeks of age):
Idaho Grey - wonderful dog with rare silver colour, beautiful mask, dark eye and elegant head. He´s got superb friendly character, at the moment is living with his father Phar with a large garden and lots of love at his disposal. Despite of this it is more than time to let also somebody else enjoy his great character and uncommon exterior.
Isaac - is a beautiful strong male of standard colour, with nice high mask and dark eye. He is very calm and friendly with no sign of aggressiveness. He would be great in a family with children.

Elyos is still too young for shows so he only accompanies us as a visitor just to taste the atmosphere. Heidi´s results were as on a swing - once up, once down:

International dog show Bratislava, May 15th, Malgorzata Supronowicz (PL), Haydée Hope SM - Very good (the judge was more interested in where the exhibitors have their numbers, where the dog is looking while in the ring and she required dogs to stand during the denture check. Generally she brought a lot of nerves and uneasiness 
to the ring. So, never again to this elderly lady with her own issues.)
International dog show Bratislava, May 16th, András Korózs (HU), Haydée Hope SM - Excellent 2, reserve CAC. Despite not the best result, the judging was a million percent better, professional and easy than the one of Mrs. Supronowicz.
National dog show Senec, Jozef Mravík (SVK), Haydée Hope SM - Excellent 1
These days I had to cancel Heidi´s participation at the Split shows because during her last season she completely lost her coat on croup .

All puppies are wonderfully compact and short, they have great character and their socialisation undergoes under my two kids leadership and their games as well as under many visitors and guests. They are great retrievers and toy eliminators ;-)
We also took part at two shows, Heidi only. Elyos is expecting his first show in May. And if he is going to "misbehave" as he did during his first shooting... Well, God help us! :-D
Our companion for the shows was Jana and her wonderful smooth collie Nikita.

If you ask me how it is possible for a dog to change from Very good to BOB overnight, my answer is - the relax and oversleep must be taken at a beautiful and peaceful ranch of our friend Zarja, owner of Harley Queen SM. Time spent at your place simply was worth it! Thank you very much Zarja, Jožica and all other wonderful people we met there. You were simply amazing!

A tervueren male (out of two groenendaels) Chaynée Chivas took part at his first show in a junior class with Excellent 2! We are very proud of this beautiful strong young male with excellent character. And here are the pictures.

It has been almost a whole month since the last update. This time it will be more about pics than anything else. Well, it is not easy to handle two kids, two litters, job and other everyday life sitautions. Sometimes also some show should be attended :-D
We added new pictures of our current puppies both from I and J litter. New internet Picture albums were created, so you can have a look at the puppies here: I litter, J litter. Pupps are growing nicely, I litter are ready for new homes now. J litter celebrated their first month and puppies have started to express themselves and to enforce their will ;-)
Also Elyos is growing and developing greatly. Nickname Rambo really suits him. His new pics can be seen at his own site. His characetr is - I would say - very easy to live and co-exist with. He is quite calm, alert, curious, brave, yet he has alreday learnt to be gentle with our daughter. He likes to retrieve anything and he loves gentle games with puppies and crazy games with our Heidi. I believe we will take part at the summer camp and I will discover more of his great character.
Our thanks goes to Stanislav for two new pics of Parker (Hamish SM). Parker has grown into a wonderful handsome boy and he made us very proud.
So, OK, apart from new pictures, here is also some show facts to share: on March, 7th, Heidi took part at the international show in Graz, Austria. After some changes in the judges´panel all Belgians were shifted to Mr. Erwin Deutscher (A). Didi won her class (open, 3/3) and thus got her CACA. Afterwards she successfuly competed for her first Austrian CACIB with winner bitches from the intermediate and champion classes. She really made our day!
Chloe Arsinoe SM attended her second show this weekend. And she won her first CAJC title under Mr. Gábor Hargitai (H). Congrats to Tibor and Bonča! New pics will follow soon.

With a great pleasure we can finally announce a birth of Starý Machnáč "J" litter, puppies out of Quincy and Sundek. Babies were born at night on February 26, exactly one month after our "I" litter. Two boys and three girls are big, viable and all of them are deep red. Quika is a wonderful mother and for now we sometimes even don´t know we have them as they are always silent and feeding.

So far not published hot news is an import of a new male dog to our kennel, nine-week-old Elyos from France. Elyos du Moulin du Verger presents many of famous current studs from his paternal side. From his maternal grand mother side it is a brand new blood, the blood of working tervuerens with a big heart who, unlike some other excklusive working lines tervs, still have a very quality exterior as well. From his maternal grand father side it is blood that is not present in our region and is also rare in other parts of Europe. The idea of a terv male puppy import rose in my head more then 2 years ago. I cooperated with Hanka Pisarčíková (Z Kovárny kennel). And it was her who - at the beginning of this year - discovered this interesting parental combination. That´s why Elyos is and will be co-owned with her kennel Z Kovárny. However, he lives with us, so he´s ours ;-)
Just a pure coincidence can be used to explain the fact that the owner of Elyos´s father V´Izmir and so the person very greatly involved in his litter is Véronique Monet. The same Véronique who we visited in 2003 to mate our Bimbo to her older dog Helios des Costiéres. Helios is already in his dog heaven and Véronique has got a new dog - V´Izmir. The world simply IS small :-D
New pictures of "I" litter puppies added. Pupps are great, big, perfectly cared for and already dewormed for the first time. For the first two weeks of their lives they all doubled the birth weight, opened their eyes, ears and teeth also appeared. We are still considering the names. Some are already decided, with some we still hesitate...

We underwent a USG examinaton with Quika (Equinox). In this freezing and snowy weather I packed Quika, Heidi and baby Karolína and we got off. The examination was fun - just try to imagine me holding Equinox by one hand, baby Karolína by the other one, while she (Karolína) was holding a hyperactive Heidi by her other hand :-D So, please, do not ask me, how many pupps we saw. Important is that we saw some and that we can get ready for a new flock of puppy by the end of February!
On January 23rd we attended an international dog show in Trenčín, a show that opens a new show season here in Slovakia. . Heidi did very well and amongst other nine bitches (there were three in her own class) she won CAC and her first CACIB!!!
On the way back from Trencin we stopped at Sedivi family, owners of our pregnant Fay. Everything was OK and ready for the upcoming puppy delivery. In the morning, January 26th Fay gave birth to six beautiful, healthy and strong puppies. So today we can proudly present I litter of our kennel which consists of four boys (birth weight 400, 460, 480 and 500 grams) and two girls (420 and 480 gr.). First pics will follow shortly.
The good news never come alone, so we also have a bad ones. A great girl left us forever on January 27th - Ch GCh Balance Starý Machnáč, a granny of our current puppies as well as a granny of our Heidi. Balance struggled with a kidney failure and the vet said she was only having 10 days ahead of her. In pain... :-( R.I.P Balance, you were a GREAT bitch and you brought a lot of happiness to our lives.

After returning from the trip in Milan, Italy, where we went to mate our Kiki, we added several actual pictures of Equinox and the stud Sundek Summer Sunflower, as well as pictures from the mating. We would like to express our big thanks once again to Riccardo (Sundek´s owner) and Pietro (Sundek´s breeder) for given opportunity to use a beautiful dog as Sundek is with such great character as well as for all care Pietro and his wife Janka gave us.

At the beginning of this month Didi took part at two double international dog shows in Nitra. We took the risk and entered her to a junior class on Saturday and to an intermediate class on Sunday. And it worth it! Heidi became a Slovak Juniorchampion on the first day (under Mr. Benkovský) and received her very first CAC and reserve CACIB on Sunday under Mr. Václavík!
Our breeding was represented also by a beautiful young black lady from our latest litter - Chloe Arsinoe. She received Excellent 1, but no junior CAC as she did not want to present herself properly
Apart from that I had my new camera with me and so I did not want to miss the opportunity and took some pictures. So besides few new pics of Didi, we proudly present our Chloe, as well as a beautiful terv bitch Hannah Anubis the Second who is a daughter of our Ginger Spice. Hope you will like them!

Once again we are updating our breeding plans. A little bit unexpected, yet planned a terv bitch from our kennel - Fay Rose Starý Machnáč started her heat. We have always planned to use Fay in our breeding because of her type, expression and blood lines combined in her pedigree. Fay comes from our intervariety litter and is a littermate of our black Frederique. She has got her own masters who just do not have any special breeding ambitions and that´s why they asked us to register her puppies to our kennel. We are happy to meet this request and so we can proudly announce a mating between Fay and a fawn tervueren from an interesting blood lines Phar Lap Juvell Z Kovárny. The mating took place on November 25th and 27th.
